EM10 - Cyctrac Electric Mountain Bike

The process of assembling the bike was quite easy, it took little over an hour.

The most difficult part may have been organizing the cables to fit through the front entry without any kinks or damage. I'm not a fan of this cable routing, even though it's neat, I'm afraid all the rain will be guided down that hole on the headset cover straight onto the bearings. Another downside is that you have to use at least a 10 mm spacer below the stem to make room for the cables, I installed a -17 degree stem in order to achieve my desired riding position.

The derailleur was adjusted properly out of the factory, the brakes were already bled, even the shocks had almost the exact pressure for my weight.

I used my own tools but was pleasantly surprised that all the necessary tools were supplied (except for an 8 mm hex key required for the UDH bolt).

During the first test rides I was really impressed. It handled everything like a champ. It's difficult to describe this, but it feels like you're driving a steerable locomotive, it just goes where you point it. Riding in Economy mode feels just like a regular MTB but with myself being 20 years younger. On steeper terrain, switching up through Tour, Sport, Sport+ gives you increasingly more power, Boost mode turns you into a superhero. I was riding up 20% rocky trail sections without breaking a sweat. On the descents I was not too confident because of the weight of the bike, so I took it easy, I'm sure I'll get used to the handling over time. I never bottomed out on the suspension, the 150/140 mm travel is plenty if you are not doing any crazy drops.

After 200 kms I'm still happy with the bike. Recently a slight play had developed in the suspension, turned out the bottom bushing bolt on the rear shock was too short, I replaced it with the proper size.

Overall, I'm very satisfied, I think this is a great value e-bike.
